Day 18 – Shhhh!
I’m sat in the quiet carriage of my train up to London, when a phone rings. The inevitable happens and the (particularly loud) gentlemen answers his phone…and enjoys a 30 minute conversation. Ever experienced this?
So today’s challenge: how can design reduce the disturbances to commuters in trains’ quiet carriages?
Solution – Repurposed Door Controls
By repurposing a train’s customary door controls on each side of a quiet carriage, travellers are simply reminded to consider their phone’s when entering the carriage.
